If your body won’t release stress this could be why

I want to share something a client in my Release Method Programme said to me this week because it perfectly captures a pattern I see all the time. These were her exact words - I wrote them down
“I’ve had a lifelong habit of multitasking and busyness… slowing down and focusing on one thing feels really hard.”
She wasn’t struggling because the release techniques were “too advanced.”
She wasn’t stuck because she didn’t understand the steps.
She was stuck because hermindsetwas still running on an old survival setting:
Go fast. Stay busy. Don’t stop. Don’t feel. Keep moving.
Here’s what most people don’t realise:
Your body can’t release stress or trauma if your mind hasn’t given it permission to slow down.
You might know the stretches.
You might know the breathwork.
You might even have the intention to finally let go…
…but if your mind is still operating in “go mode,” your body can’t drop into safety long enough to release anything.
This is where support really matters.
Sometimes the first step isn’t anothertechnique.
Sometimes the first step is someone helping you shift the belief that slowing down is “lazy,”
or that rest must be “earned,”
or that you’ll lose control if you stop doing everything at once.
